After choosing a location that is critically endangered from the UNESCO World Heritage website, I had to create a branding for The Old City of Sana’a. I was responsible for designing a logo, map, brochure, promotional gear, and a website using Adobe Illustrator. The overall brand identity concept revolves around the architecture found in The Old City of Sana’a, taking aspects from the stained glass windows in order to create the logo. The text and photographs were pulled from approved sources. My goal was to promote why this location is important to the people, and why it should be protected. This project was created from concept to completion.

Sketches for Logo
While planning the designs I researched the site in detail, making a list of words that describe The Old City of Sana’a in order to come up with some logo ideas. I created over fifty hand drawn sketches before narrowing down, and revising the sketches. After that, I turned a few ideas into vector sketches, later resulting as the final logo.
